Naturopathy Techniques at Polynesian Spas

Best Naturopathy Techniques: Bathing in Polynesian Spa at Rotorua, New Zealand

Polynesian spa at Rotorua, New Zealand provides us with  one of the best naturopathy techniques and is considered among the top ten in the world as voted by Conde Nast Traveller. I got an opportunity to visit this Polynesian spa and the experience was so amazing that I thought of sharing it with you all.

If you do not know much about Rotorua, let me explain to you that it is a small town in New Zealand and is famous for its thermal geysers. The whole are is seismically very active.

As a result of that, you will find many sulfur thermal pools and scientists have found that water in these pools has lots of healing properties. Also, depending on the composition of minerals in its water in different pools, various pools have different healing properties. Being in these pools for an hour or so might help you in skin rejuvenation, muscle toning, etc. It may help you to the extent of easing arthritis, back pain, and many other muscle-related disorders. The Polynesian Spa has facilities for various therapeutic massages.

Polynesian Spa is located at the banks of Rotorua lake and lying in one of these pools, looking at the lake is quite therapeutic experience in itself. You can feel and experience nature at its best here.

One of the pools is known as Priest’s pool because in the early 1900s a priest from a Scandinavian country visited Rotorua and swam in one of these pools for a few days. After being in the pool for an hour every day, he got rid of his chronic arthritis. Below are a few pictures of the Polynesian pools.

Although, Polynesian spa is the most popular spa in Rotorua, there are a few others which I found very interesting. One I found more interesting is known as Hells Gate. Unlike Polynesian spa, it is a mud pool spa and known to be specially great for your skin.

Below are a few videos which will give you idea of what it looks like being at these pools.
